Jeff Hornbaker
Born in 1955 in Pomona, California, Jeff picked up his first camera while studying marine biology at the University of Hawaii. His first surf photos ran in Surfer magazine in 1975.
Through the 1980s and 1990s he became one of the premier surf photographers, with covers, features and advertising for the major magazines, and more than two decades helping define the look of Quiksilver and Roxy.

Jeff directed and co-directed standout surf films: Strange Desires (featuring Martin Potter), The Hole (1996) and No Destination (1998), both with Don King, following surfers like Kelly Slater, Taylor Knox and Ross Williams. These films are remastered and stream on Nalu TV.
From Pipeline and Backdoor to G-Land, Tahiti and remote Indo breaks, he shot from the lineup, underwater and the air. Still active as a visual artist, he founded Third Eye Aquatic and Surf Goggles.
